PM: Advance with technology

(Taken from The Star Online, November 11, 2009 )
PUTRAJAYA: Technological advancement is an important tool for a nation’s development and countries with such capabilities will triumph, said the Prime Minister.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said it was no accident that technologically-advanced countries like the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Canada and Australia were among the world’s wealthiest nations.

Countries that failed to make technological innovation the centrepiece of their economy would fall behind, he added.

Defisit PTPTN RM48 bilion 2020

KUALA LUMPUR 3 Nov. – Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN)
dijangka menanggung defisit berjumlah RM48 bilion pada 2020 sekiranya
peminjam masih berdegil untuk membuat pembayaran balik pinjaman.

Timbalan Menteri Pengajian Tinggi, Dr. Hou Kok Chung berkata, kerajaan

sahaja,” katanya ketika menjawab soalan tambahan Datuk Ibrahim Ali (Bebas-

hapuskan.

Terdahulu, Kok Chung menjawab soalan lisan Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (BN-Gua

bilion masih belum dibayar balik.
